The Young Driver's Report Card Program in only one example of Blackline's array of innovative products. The Report Card lets parents assess how fast and how carefully their children are driving their cars. Parents can observe a young driver's average speed, amount of time driven, abidance to curfews and more.
"A report card is something that I had to bring home every semester – the Young Driver's Report Card facilitates open and honest dialogue between parents and their kids while promoting responsible driving habits," said Blackline GPS CEO Clark Swanson.
According to the National Safety Council, the leading cause of fatality among teenagers is traffic accidents due to speed. Although young drivers only represent 13% of all licensed drivers, they cause 28% of all traffic crashes and 24% of all fatal accidents. Each year, 14,000 teenagers in the United States are killed in motor vehicles accidents while 81% of 16-year-old drivers will have an accident by age 24. Blackline is committed to promoting safe driving habits.
Blackline is also proud to announce the release of the much-anticipated Harpoon. Harpoon allows boat owners to track their watercraft in the event of theft, displacements due to weather and emergency.
